Animal Sounds

Please keep me in your prayers..lately I have been going through this thing with Kason going to his dads. If fact I had a melt down last night. I was fine until I did my last check on him before bed. He just looked so sweet and peaceful laying in his crib and it melted my heart. I have always heard my mom say to me I just don't want to see you get hurt. I never really understood that until Kason came along and I went thru this divorce. It's not because I don't want Kason to have a relationship with his dad I just never wanted this mixed up life for him and it breaks my heart knowing he will be part of the statistics in the world. He is such a sweet loving boy and has such a great spirit about him and to know that lately he seems alittle confused at times as far as his dad is concerned just tears me apart. I know it has something to do with the fact that they have told me lately that he cries at daycare for mommie and daddy. Kason doesn't associate me and Dennis together. Infact if he says mommie he follows with Shaun and if he says daddy he follows it with Allie. But I know he has to wonder why he doesn't see his daddy but at certain times and I just hate thinking that he is confused. At times I feel like I have failed Kason because his parents now are seperated but I try reminding myself that I tried and it's not my fault. Like I told Shaun last night it's just not fair that such a sweet little boy has to have this type of life and how someone could have been so selfish.

Kason loves watching Elmo

Sweet little thing....

I need to remember this today :)

For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you." Luke 6:38

So that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men but in the power of God. 1 Corinthians 2: 5

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus..Philippians 4:6-7

What A Great Weekend!!!!

My weekend started off pretty early because my boss decided to let us go home around 2:00 pm on Friday. I headed home and took a nap since Kason was staying with Nana and PaPaw. Later that evening me and Shaun met his friend Chuck Lewis and his wife at Stix's Friday night for dining and then a quick trip into Lowes.

Saturday morning started over early around 8:30 am and didn't end till about 5:00 pm. We worked in and around the yard and house all day long. It was a hot day but we got so much accomplished. We worked on the yard (front and back), finally the roof issue is fixed all we have to do is paint the repair part, worked on the flower beds, and even completely took the shed down, built a floor for it and put it all back together and organized. Like I said me and Shaun worked our little booties off Saturday. Finally we left to go get Kason from my mom and dads. He told me they went swimming and could tell me the sounds a lion, frog, bird, dog and cats makes. It's the cutest thing and I will have to video so I can show you. I was glad to have him back home with me Saturday night even though I was tired from working in the yard all day we stayed outside and played in his clubhouse till almost 9 pm.

Saturday Night..

Sunday ofcourse was church and we also went back to the Sunday School class that we visited last Sunday. I think it is going to be our new home on Sunday mornings. We both really enjoy it and I think it will be great for us because we will be able to make friends with people our age that have kids Kason's age. I'm so excited about it. Afterwards we went to Nanny and Poppy's house (Shaun's parents) for lunch and so they could see Kason. He really enjoys being around them and Shaun's dad just loves playing with Kason. Sunday evening was filled with a nap and while I went to the funeral home (my church growing up.. pastors mother died) Shaun stayed home with Kason and had some play time. I think they mostly just played in the clubhouse and in the rain.

Sunday Evening...

This week is only a 4 day work week thanks to the 4th of July holiday. Kason has to go to his dad's this weekend which makes me sad because he want be celebrating with me at the pool but regardless to what everyone else thinks I'm doing the right thing..I hope??? Please continue to pray for me regarding this whole situation between me and Dennis. I know the future is going to be filled with questions from Kason and I just don't know how I'm going to handle it because I don't want to see my little boy hurt. I told his dad this morning it's times like this I want to put my hands around his throat.

I hope everyone had a great weekend and I'm sure everyone is ready for the extra day off. YEAH!!!!

We hope everyone has had a great week. Kason is going to spend the night with his Nana and Papaw tonight and me and Shaun are going to work on house stuff all day tomorrow. Maybe when we go get Kason tomorrow evening we can get alittle pool time in. Sunday ofcourse will be church and then it's time to start the week over. Thank the Lord we only have a 4 day work week.

Yep It's That Time Of Year Again....

I know Kason's 2nd Birthday Party is still 2 months away but I like to go ahead and start getting stuff together and planned. Since my sweet little boy adores ELMO so much I have decided to just go with the Elmo Loves You party theme.

Father's Day Weekend Fun!!!

We had a great weekend...Just can't believe it is already over with and Monday again. Friday night me and Shaun went to the Baron's game for free because I won tickets through work. We had a great time and the game was really good. We also got to see a pretty awesome firework show at the end.

Saturday was spent at the pool most of the day and then me and Shaun went back to the house, ate pizza and watched a movie.

Sunday ofcourse was church and we visited a sunday school class for the first time. Afterwards we headed to my moms for lunch and then to the country club for a relaxing day by the pool.

I hope everyone had a great Father's Day weekend.

Date night for me and Shaun at the Baron's Game

Happy Father's Day

What Makes a Dad

God took the strength of a mountain,
The majesty of a tree,
The warmth of a summer sun,
The calm of a quiet sea,
The generous soul of nature,
The comforting arm of night,
The wisdom of the ages,
The power of the eagle's flight,
The joy of a morning in spring,
The faith of a mustard seed,
The patience of eternity,
The depth of a family need,
Then God combined these qualities,
When there was nothing more to add,
He knew His masterpiece was complete,
And so, He called it ... Dad

Thanks for everything you have always done for me and Kason and for the sacrifice you made for me as a child and even to this day. I love you!!!

Shaun thanks for being apart of Kason's life and for all you do. I'm sure the 2 of you will make alot of great memories together.

Happy Father's Day Steven..Madison is lucky to have you as her dad.

And to all the wonderful dad's in the world..HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!!
