1st Day On The Beach...

The first day on the beach was great...Kason did great he still isn't 100% sure about the sand on his hands and feet but he is learning it's okay. He had a great time swimming in the ocean and playing in his pool.

Kason loves his little beach pool...

Hello From Panama City

Kason thinks he is driving us to the beach...

Finally they are both asleep..Shaun quicker than Kason ofcourse

Dinner at Hammerhead Fred's....YUMMIE
D

We had a great trip down...Kason did much better than last year and only got upset 1 or 2 times. We left around 10:15 am from Fultondale and arrived in Panama City around 4:15 pm. We stopped for lunch in Montgomery and then are standard stop in Hartford. Once we unloaded all the luggage we went to Hammerhead Fred's for dinner and then Daddy and Shaun took the kids back to the condo and Me, Mom and Leslie did the grocery shopping. As crowded as it is 2 hours in Walmart really isn't that bad. Normally we have to stand 2 hours in line. Once we got back home Shaun and Kason were both already asleep.

I know I'm alittle behind my normal schedule...

Okay I know I'm way behind schedule on posting a blog but believe it or not I have been actually working and plus I forgot my camera yesterday. Thursday, July 2 after work me and Shaun hung out at the house then he went to work out and I went with him. No I didn't work out I went to socialize then since we didn't eat dinner before I decided once we left at 11:30 pm that I wanted Waffle House. Love me some Waffle House!!!! Friday I spent all day cleaning the house. I even finally moved my bedroom around so hopefully the air circulation will be better in the room (our bed was over the vent). I had a great 4th of July with my family even though Kason was with his daddy at the lake and Shaun was home with back pain. One day the hard head will remember what he can and can't do to cause his back pain. We of course had all kinds of different meats to eat and I felt 10 pounds heavier when I left. After a fun day at the pool I went grocery shopping...4th of July is the best time to buy grocery. Walmart was a ghost town. Sunday I did absolutely nothing. I slept this 11:30 am and then worked on my cruise scrapbook the rest of the day until Kason came home. I was so happy to see the little guy when he got home and I just spent the rest of the day playing with him. This has been a pretty busy week...I've been trying to get things done at work so my desk will be clean next while I'm gone to the BEACH!!!!! Tuesday I took Kason to get his hair cut and then we had some play time at Chick-fil-A. I have got to start getting things together for the beach but I know I have to pack everything but the kitchen sink and the though of it makes me crazy. Not to mention I have an extra person going this year (Shaun) so I'm not even for sure if I have enough luggage for all 3 of us. In all of the 13 years that me and Dennis were together he went on 1 family trip with me so its kind of weird to have someone that actually likes the beach. I'm so super excited about the beach and I hope Kason does well with the sand this time. When we went down for Spring Break he wasn't very happy with the idea of sand on his feet. I have water shoes for him but who knows...maybe once he sees Madison playing in it he will just join along. I will have my work laptop at the beach with me so hopefully I can keep everyone updated on things going. Please keep us in your prayers that we have a safe trip.

Update on Shaun's job situation....Alabama Power still hasn't been able to place Shaun in another position so we have been living off short term disability, which is not enough. I can't believe a company would expect $125.00 a week to support a family. On a better note he will start Monday July 20th working part time at Gardendale First Baptist. It's not alot of money and the hours he has to work are 2pm-9pm but it's better than nothing and you never know what doors God may open for him there so I will not complain. We may have to cut back on some things but we will survive. I'm going to be the supportive wife because supposedly I wasn't with the 1st one. I get very stressed out when it comes to money and it is something that I know I need to work on. It's just really hard for me.

As far as Kason he has started becoming very interested in the potty. He keeps saying tee tee in the potty mommie. I decided to buy him a small seat for the potty (elmo) because he almost all the time falls in the toilet when he sits on it regularly. Ofcourse when we bought it we had to try it out later. He kept saying tee tee in the potty mommie so I said okay thinking he wouldn't do anything. You could tell he was really thinking about it and all of a sudden he started...I wish I would have had my camera because the look of excitement on his face was great. He was so excited and said I tee teed in the potty mommie. Ofcourse we made such a big deal about it....high 5's and clapping. He ofcourse wanted to flush the toilet and he would say bye bye tee tee. I'm just not ready for my little boy to grow up. I talked to daycare about pull ups but they said to go straight to underwear. Yeah I'm not ready for underwear quite yet and I don't think he is either. He is also trying to talk in sentences now. The other day I spanked him and he ran to Shaun started crying and pointing his finger at me saying something about Shaun Mommie spanked the baby.

4th of July...I noticed I don't take alot of pictures when Kason isn't around.

Me and Kason time...

Okay Shaun was working in the bathroom last night and so the girls wanted to wash their hair...so this was there idea. I told them last night I knew they were going to keep my life exciting.

Animal Sounds

Please keep me in your prayers..lately I have been going through this thing with Kason going to his dads. If fact I had a melt down last night. I was fine until I did my last check on him before bed. He just looked so sweet and peaceful laying in his crib and it melted my heart. I have always heard my mom say to me I just don't want to see you get hurt. I never really understood that until Kason came along and I went thru this divorce. It's not because I don't want Kason to have a relationship with his dad I just never wanted this mixed up life for him and it breaks my heart knowing he will be part of the statistics in the world. He is such a sweet loving boy and has such a great spirit about him and to know that lately he seems alittle confused at times as far as his dad is concerned just tears me apart. I know it has something to do with the fact that they have told me lately that he cries at daycare for mommie and daddy. Kason doesn't associate me and Dennis together. Infact if he says mommie he follows with Shaun and if he says daddy he follows it with Allie. But I know he has to wonder why he doesn't see his daddy but at certain times and I just hate thinking that he is confused. At times I feel like I have failed Kason because his parents now are seperated but I try reminding myself that I tried and it's not my fault. Like I told Shaun last night it's just not fair that such a sweet little boy has to have this type of life and how someone could have been so selfish.

Kason loves watching Elmo

Sweet little thing....

I need to remember this today :)

For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you." Luke 6:38

So that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men but in the power of God. 1 Corinthians 2: 5

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus..Philippians 4:6-7

What A Great Weekend!!!!

My weekend started off pretty early because my boss decided to let us go home around 2:00 pm on Friday. I headed home and took a nap since Kason was staying with Nana and PaPaw. Later that evening me and Shaun met his friend Chuck Lewis and his wife at Stix's Friday night for dining and then a quick trip into Lowes.

Saturday morning started over early around 8:30 am and didn't end till about 5:00 pm. We worked in and around the yard and house all day long. It was a hot day but we got so much accomplished. We worked on the yard (front and back), finally the roof issue is fixed all we have to do is paint the repair part, worked on the flower beds, and even completely took the shed down, built a floor for it and put it all back together and organized. Like I said me and Shaun worked our little booties off Saturday. Finally we left to go get Kason from my mom and dads. He told me they went swimming and could tell me the sounds a lion, frog, bird, dog and cats makes. It's the cutest thing and I will have to video so I can show you. I was glad to have him back home with me Saturday night even though I was tired from working in the yard all day we stayed outside and played in his clubhouse till almost 9 pm.

Saturday Night..

Sunday ofcourse was church and we also went back to the Sunday School class that we visited last Sunday. I think it is going to be our new home on Sunday mornings. We both really enjoy it and I think it will be great for us because we will be able to make friends with people our age that have kids Kason's age. I'm so excited about it. Afterwards we went to Nanny and Poppy's house (Shaun's parents) for lunch and so they could see Kason. He really enjoys being around them and Shaun's dad just loves playing with Kason. Sunday evening was filled with a nap and while I went to the funeral home (my church growing up.. pastors mother died) Shaun stayed home with Kason and had some play time. I think they mostly just played in the clubhouse and in the rain.

Sunday Evening...

This week is only a 4 day work week thanks to the 4th of July holiday. Kason has to go to his dad's this weekend which makes me sad because he want be celebrating with me at the pool but regardless to what everyone else thinks I'm doing the right thing..I hope??? Please continue to pray for me regarding this whole situation between me and Dennis. I know the future is going to be filled with questions from Kason and I just don't know how I'm going to handle it because I don't want to see my little boy hurt. I told his dad this morning it's times like this I want to put my hands around his throat.

I hope everyone had a great weekend and I'm sure everyone is ready for the extra day off. YEAH!!!!

We hope everyone has had a great week. Kason is going to spend the night with his Nana and Papaw tonight and me and Shaun are going to work on house stuff all day tomorrow. Maybe when we go get Kason tomorrow evening we can get alittle pool time in. Sunday ofcourse will be church and then it's time to start the week over. Thank the Lord we only have a 4 day work week.
