I'm Finally Back Home!!!

Wow it was a busy weekend but I got alot of things done thanks to alot of help from Shaun, Leslie, Steven and my Dad. What would I do without Family???? My dad said he wasn't moving me again for awhile so I better stay put.

Friday was alittle busy I actually was able to get off work around 2pm which was great because I was able to go ahead and get a load of stuff and take back to my house. When I got home Shaun had bought me a few things for the house, my favorite was my very own "Pink" tool bag and tools. I mean I can't build a house with them or anything but they will help with little things around the house. After unloading everything I had brought over from my moms house and Shaun got my new flood lights up we went to Chili's to grab and quick bite for dinner and then we headed to Walmart. I told Shaun he had no idea what he was getting himself into because I had to buy everything since I haven't lived there in 9 months, but $618.29 and 2 shopping carts later I think I got everything me and Kason might need.

Saturday morning started off around 7:30 am and work ended around 4 pm. We got alot done and I think I manage to get everything back in order. Every time I move it makes me realize how much stuff I have. Like I said I couldn't have done if without my sister, Steven, Daddy and Shaun. All I can say is it sure is nice to have someone in your life that knows how to do house stuff and actually enjoys it. Afterwards we headed to Doug and April for a cook out and to watch the AL/GA game. After the game we all decided to go to "HomeField" for alittle redneck fun. I can't imagine doing that every weekend again...I mean I can have fun with the best of them and act crazy because how else could you possible handle HomeField. I guess now as I look back on things I can't imagine really thinking you could possibly find someone to spend the rest of your life with at a bar much less HomeField. Anyways we had a great time hanging out with everyone.
1 day he will see the light and move over to the other side ;)

Kason's Room

Sunday morning I decided to go to Gardendale First Baptist with Shaun. I think I have only been there 1 time many many years ago and WOW how it has changed. Kevin Hamm is a great preacher and he has started a 10 weeks series called 4 Better 4 Worse. Afterwards we went to Shaun's mom house to eat lunch then to Lowes which runs a close race with Walmart as being one of my favorite places to go. Later that evening Dennis brought Kason home and we just hung out at the house. Kason did really well last night and I'm so happy he is able to enjoy his room because I worked so very hard on getting it the way I wanted before he was born so it really makes me happy for him to be in it.

Not really for sure what the week holds other than work and finishing somethings at the house. Hope everyone had a great weekend...Happy Monday!!!

Results from Kason's GES

Well yesterday was Kason's GES test (Gastro Emptying Scan) and look how my poor baby had to be done.

It broke my heart for them to have to tape him down but I guess what other option do they have for a one year old. I told them he had a temper like a wildcat so they better add extra tape. Once he threw his RENO fit he quickly got his thumb in his mouth, watched the Wiggles and slept through the whole test. THANK GOD. For the most part he did really well considering he wasn't able to eat before the test so needless to say when it was all said and done he was quite happy to get some food. In order to do the test he had to drink milk with some type of radioactive in it and lay on the table for a hour while it measures how long it takes to empty out. Well the normal is 50% in a hour and 75% in 2 hours. Needless to say we only emptied 9% the first hour and after a hour break and then back on the table we still only emptied a total of 30%. Afterwards we headed to the GI doctor to discuss the results. He said he wanted to keep Kason on the Prevacid for a month and that sometimes if a child has gotten a stomach virus that it can paralyze your stomach to were it takes awhile to wake back up and empty correctly. He was very happy to hear Kason hadn't thrown up since Friday. He wants me to watch him for another month and see what happens and then come back in for a checkup. Hopefully it will be the results on the stomach virus so Kason doesn't have to be on full time medication.

We have a busy next couple of days ahead of us as we get ready to move back into our house. Please continue to keep me and Kason in your prayers as we make the transition back into our house.

SURPRISE!!!!!

So I was on the phone tonight around 8pm talking to Linda (ex mother-in-law) and all of a sudden it sounded like a motorcycle pulled in the drive way or something and then I heard the door bell ring. So I tell Linda I have to go because I don't know who is at the door and I can't see because we don't leave outside lights on...so once I finally figure out what switch I should turn on to see who is at our house this late to my GREAT surprise its Shaun. I had know idea he was coming home in fact he told me they were headed to Houston, Texas today and that it would be around 8:30 before he got off work and I wouldn't be able to talk to him probably until then. I guess he wasn't lying about the 8:30 part because he was really off and at my house. I was so super excited to see him that I just kept giving him hugs and I think I may have even jumped on him when I first saw him. I'm just really excited that he is back home. YEAH!!!

Other good news...I have decided to move back into my house this weekend. I really wanted to be in a house for the holiday's and so we have decided to take the house off the market till Spring to give it alittle rest and then we will try to sell it again when hopefully the market is better. I'm also super excited about this move because I really think it will be great for me and Kason. I know I am going to have to change my lifestyle alot but sometimes that is just part of growing up. Please keep me and Kason in your prayers as we make our way back into our house.

First Day Of Fall

Can't believe the weekend is already over and its Monday again...Oh well we better make the best of it.

Friday night I knew Kason was spending the night with his dad so I knew I was going to need something to do so Thursday I talked April, Tiffany (there husbands) and Brandon (didn't want to be 3rd wheel with all the married couples) into a night out. We all decided to go to Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner and then to Lightening Strikes in Trussville for alittle cosmic bowling. I won the first game and Josh won the 2nd game. Let me just say we all had a great time and there was never a dull moment.

Funny Videos of Josh dancing after he would bowl a Strike

Saturday morning after I met Dennis to get Kason we headed to April's house to meet up with Tiffany and Mason and we spent the day at Tannehill for Trade Days. I have never been to Trade Days before and let me just say you see all kinds of people and you will also notice that people will try to sell anything and I mean anything. Our day was cut alittle short by rain but for the most part we saw all we needed to see. Afterwards we headed home for the evening and just hung out and played at the house with the family. That night once Kason was ready for bed I went to Stacy's house to watch the rest of the Auburn/LSU game which was very upsetting because Auburn had a good chance of winning the game and they just blew it. Oh well WAR EAGLE anyways.

The Boys and with all the toys in the world Tupperware seems to be his favorite.

Nana just loves when he plays in the Tupperware..I think he is just trying to help her clean out.

Sunday I was finally able to go back to church and thank God because we had a great message. We had a guest preacher, Mark Correll and his message title was "Other side of the Mountain". I know this will be alot to read but it was very helpful yesterday and I just thought I needed to share. It was based on Genesis 22: 1-13 And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am. And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of. And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and saddled his ass, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son, and clave the wood for the burnt offering, and rose up, and went unto the place of which God had told him. Then on the third day Abraham lifted up his eyes, and saw the place afar off. And Abraham said unto his young men, Abide ye here with the ass; and I and the lad will go yonder and worship, and come again to you. And Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering, and laid it upon Isaac his son; and he took the fire in his hand, and a knife; and they went both of them together. And Isaac spake unto Abraham his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood: but where is the lamb for a burnt offering? And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together. And they came to the place which God had told him of; and Abraham built an altar there, and laid the wood in order, and bound Isaac his son, and laid him on the altar upon the wood. And Abraham stretched forth his hand, and took the knife to slay his son. And the angel of the LORD called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here am I. And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me. And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son.
There are 2 sides to every mountain: the side you see and the side you don't see We live in the mountains everyday, we don't see what the future holds you just have to trust that God will get you through it.
He had 4 major points :
1)You will be tested in life just expect it James 1: 13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:
2)Seemingly he ask us to give up more than we can afford If you notice in Genesis 22 everything is connect by AND. The And you are facing now will take you to the next AND in your life. You must be faithful in each AND you face. 3)In the Life of Faith you must Focus on the character of God "FEAR NOT" is in the bible 330 times Deuteronomy 31: 6 Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. Isaiah 41:10 10Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
4)When test come your way focus on the promise of God not why the test came. Quite trying to find the answer and keep climbing the mountain.

Abraham's other side of the mountain is mention in verses 11-13...As Abraham was making his way up the mountain so was the ram. When we are facing problems we don't see what God has planned for us. God is always working on the the other side of the mountain. Genesis 22: 14 And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovahjireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen.
Jehovahjireh meaning "God Will See and Provide"

When we go through tough and difficult times in our lifes we just have to put are faith in God because he is the only one who knows what the other side of the mountain brings for us.

Life is difficult once we truly know and accept it then you will understand life.

Afterwards Me and Kason had a picnic lunch (Wendy's) at the park and played for awhile then it was home for a much needed nap for Kason and me as well. Then it was just an afternoon of playing.

Well I hope everyone had a great weekend...HAPPY MONDAY AND FIRST DAY OF FALL!!!!!

What A Week...TGIF

Well lets see...Kason has thrown up atleast once everyday since Saturday...and last night was the finally straw for me to hear the pediatricians office tell me it is a stomach virus. I know no why when you register for baby stuff you better put at least 10 sets of extra sheets on there because go through a week of vomiting and you are sure to use them all. Today I decided to bypass the pediatrician and go straight to the GI doctor. Luckily I was able to get a appointment with Dr. Morris today at 3:45. After going over everything that has occurred this week, Dr. Morris put him on Prevacid for a week and then we go on September 29th for a gastric emptying scan..which will scan his lower stomach to see if it is emptying correctly. He also gave him some medicine to help with the nausea and vomiting at nighttime so we will see how it works.

As far as the weekend goes, Kason is going to stay with his Daddy tomorrow night and me and some friends are going to dinner and bowling. Saturday me, April and Tiffany are taking the kids to Tannehill for a picnic then to Trade Days. Hopefully Sunday will involve us going to church because we haven't been in a month.

Please continue to keep Shaun and all the guys in your prayers. They arrived in Beaumont, Texas today and by the way he talks it is a big mess.

Love You ALL,

HAPPY "UNNIVERSARY" TO ME

Well today I would have been married 7 years...I know that I probably should be sad and in so many ways I guess I am dissappointed not in myself but in him but I am very thankful for all the wonderful people in my life. Most people probably would say they regret marrying there ex but I must say without him I wouldn't have the love of my life, Kason. He has been such a great joy in my life and I can't even imagine life without him. As she says in Hope Floats "I got the best part of you". When you get married you know it is suppose to be forever, atleast that is what God says, but sometimes it just doesn't work out that way for whatever reason. I really feel like people don't seriously think about what a marriage is suppose to be and what kind of give and take there has to be inorder for it to work. Its all about LOVE AND RESPECT. I can't thank God, my family and friends enough for being there for me and Kason over the last 9 months. I'm just happy to know that I don't have to waste anymore of my life and myself with someone who supposedly didn't care in the beginning. I know God has a great plan for me and Kason and I can't wait to see what he has planned for us in the future.

Please continue to keep me and Kason in your prayers.

Every experience God gives us, every person He puts in our lives, is the perfect preparation for the future that only He can see

Weekend is Over!!!

Well lets see where to begin...Friday night me and Kason hung out at Shaun's house until his bedtime and then I met my parents so they could take him home to bed. He started acting alittle weird around 6:45 and got really still. I just thought he was probably getting tired. When my mom got him home she called and said he was running a fever of 103.1. Mom just gave him some Motrin and put him to bed. Me and Shaun went down to the Greek Festival and had dinner. I had never been before and I was shocked at all the people down there. The food was awesome though. Afterwards we went by his friends house in Birmingham and they played alittle Texas Hold'em. I don't really understand guys and cards but obviously it is something that alot of guys like to do. Saturday didn't really start until about 8 am,THANK GOD, but was started out with a trip to the doctor. Luckily Dr. Mays was seeing patients at Redmont so I didn't have to visit the after hours clinic. They ran a strep test and it came back negative and she said everything else looked good. I had mentioned to her that he threw up at breakfast but she said he probably just has a fever virus. Which means I just wasted another $30 copay. Kason ofcourse was ill for most of the day but he really didn't run anymore high fevers. Later that evening we went to Froggy's for Maddie's 6th Birthday party. We had a really great time even though Kason wasn't really happy with all the blow ups. As the party went on he seemed like he was feeling alittle better. After we got him home and in the bed, Me and Shaun went to Target and Walmart to get stuff he would need for his trip. He headed out this morning at 6am for Louisiana for atleast 2 weeks working on storm damage. Please keep him and all the other guys in your prayers. Let me just say WOW shopping with him is alittle different. I mean does it really take a guy that long to pick out underwear???? I never knew guys had so many fabric and hold options when it came to underwear. Anyways finally around 12 we were done shopping and head to his house to pack. I think we managed to get everything he might need for the next 2 weeks if not he is now out of luck. I was hoping to go to church today but ofcourse Kason started throwing up again during breakfast and I thought I'm not driving to Gardendale to sit in the Commens area of church so I decided just to stay home. It was a good idea because he has thrown up 2 more times since then and can't keep anything on his stomach except clear liquids. I think he is also having stomach cramps because at times he will just lay in the floor and cry. I know this is bad but depending on what kind of night we have I may try to send him on to daycare and see how long he will last.

Hope everyone had a great weekend!!! Enjoy pictures from Madison's Birthday Party.

Remembering 9/11

'MEET ME IN THE STAIRWELL'

You say you will never forget where you were when
you heard the news On September 11, 2001.
Neither will I.

I was on the 110th floor in a smoke filled room
with a man who called his wife to say 'Good-Bye.' I
held his fingers steady as he dialed. I gave him the
peace to say, 'Honey, I am not going to make it, but it
is OK..I am ready to go.'

I was with his wife when he called as she fed
breakfast to their children. I held her up as she
tried to understand his words and as she realized
he wasn't coming home that night.

I was in the stairwell of the 23rd floor when a
woman cried out to Me for help. 'I have been
knocking on the door of your heart for 50 years!' I said.
'Of course I will show you the way home - only
believe in Me now.'

I was at the base of the building with the Priest
ministering to the injured and devastated souls.
I took him home to tend to his Flock in Heaven. He
heard my voice and answered.

I was on all four of those planes, in every seat,
with every prayer. I was with the crew as they
were overtaken. I was in the very hearts of the
believers there, comforting and assuring them that their
faith has saved them.

I was in Texas , Virginia , California , Michigan , Afghanistan ...
I was standing next to you when you heard the terrible news.
Did you sense Me?

I want you to know that I saw every face. I knew
every name - though not all know Me. Some met Me
for the first time on the 86th floor.

Some sought Me with their last breath.
Some couldn't hear Me calling to them through the
smoke and flames; 'Come to Me... this way... take
my hand.' Some chose, for the final time, to ignore Me.
But, I was there.

I did not place you in the Tower that day. You
may not know why, but I do. However, if you were
there in that explosive moment in time, would you have
reached for Me?

Sept. 11, 2001, was not the end of the journey
for you But someday your journey will end. And I
will be there for you as well. Seek Me now while I may
be found. Then, at any moment, you know you are
'ready to go.'

I will be in the stairwell of your final moments.

God

During the next 60 seconds, stop whatever you are
doing, and take this opportunity to stop and think and appreciate God's power
in your life, for doing what you know is pleasing to Him.

Happy Birthday Madison

Today is my niece's 6th Birthday. Just wanted to wish Madison a Happy Birthday. We love you!

Isn't it funny how something as small as a tooth brush can entertain a 1 year old instead of the room full of toys.

Hope everyone is having a great week so far.

Weekend Review

Well after a few days of working in Destin and a weekend at the beach...its back to reality today in Alabama. We all had a great time this weekend and it was great being able to spend sometime with my Aunt Robin and Grandmother. I'm glad they were able to have a good time on my expense and get away for a few days.

Its always great to get away for a few days but I was really starting to miss Kason. I was happy to see him last night and his smiling little face this morning. To update you on Kason he is finally feeling better...he stayed with his dad Saturday night for the first time since we are been divorced. I was alittle nervous about the whole idea but I knew my family needed a break and I figured he knows better than to let anything happen to our child...LOL

Hope everyone had a great weekend and HAPPY MONDAY to everyone. Enjoy the Pictures

Hello From Destin

Well we finally made it to the beach....Just to caught you guys up on Kason he ended up having bronchitis instead of strep throat and ofcourse that was after a 3 hour doctor visit and a chest xray later. I think he is whiner with bronchitis then he is with strep throat. He stayed with his Granny Linda today and my sister has him during the night and he is going back to her house tomorrow. He has been running a high fever at times and I'm hoping it breaks soon. Please pray for my sister while I'm gone and pray that Kason gets to feeling better.

We had a safe trip down and I finally got to stop in Clanton for the first time and get homemade peach ice cream and let me say it was FABULOUS!!!! Once we finally got here and hung out by the pool for awhile it was dinner time and we headed to the Crab Trap for one of my favorite foods...CRAB LEGS!!!! Tomorrow ofcourse is a day of work standing behind a booth and smiling....FUN FUN FUN!!!

Hope everyone is having a great week so far...Thank God Its Almost The Weekend Again!!!

Holiday Weekend Review

Well let's see ....where should I begin. First off WAR EAGLE!!!!!! Friday was great only had to work 1/2 day so I was able to have alittle bit of free time and had lunch at Our Place. I just love there chicken salad and they close so early that I never get to eat there...so anytime I get off early that is where you can find me for lunch. That evening we went over to Shaun's house, ordered pizza and watched a movie. Saturday we decided to go ahead and cook out for the Labor Day holiday so it was mostly just a day of eating and hanging out by the pool and ofcourse that night it was FOOTBALL time. I think that's all the guys talked about and analyzed until kick off. We hung out with my family for awhile and watched the Alabama game then once Kason was asleep me and Shaun went to Robert and Amanda's house to watch the rest of the Auburn / Alabama game. Sunday we were up by 6 o'clock and headed to Nashville by 7 for alittle shopping. Kason hates long car rides but ofcourse he made me look like a crazy mom because he acted perfect all the way up there. He just ate his Jack's biscuit and took a nap. Let me just say I like going to Opry Mills Mall but wow how much shopping can you really do in a day?????? Finally around 3 we were done with the whole shopping thing. Saturday night Kason went back with Leslie and Me and Shaun went to the Wild Horse Saloon for dinner. I love country line dancing even if I don't know the dance I still will get out and try. I actually was able to get him out there a few times. We had a great time. Ofcourse later I find out from my sister that Kason had threw up in the car and was running a fever of 102.5. When I talked to her Monday morning she said he slept good and his fever was back down so he went ahead and spent the day with his Dad. Headed home from Nashville around 11 and then pretty much just hung out for the day. Needless to say Kason was up again last night around 11pm running a fever of 103.5 and crying so we have a doctor's appointment at 11:45. I just hope it's not a relapse of strep throat. I have alot to do today because I leave in the morning for a dental conference in Destin and I haven't packed a thing for me or Kason and plus I have to figure out who is going to keep him during the day if he is sick and can't go to daycare. Who said being a mom was easy????

Hope everyone had a safe holiday weekend!!!
