Engaged, Birthday Parties and Wrecks..

Well lets see where to begin with this crazy weekend!!!

As most of you read in my last post me and Shaun are now engaged. Some people are happy for me others probably think I am crazy. All I know is I have to do what I think is right for me and Kason and as long as we are happy that is all that matters to me. I don't believe in love at first site so for me to say I'm head over hills in love with him I would probably have to say no. I truly believe that Love is something that grows with time and it takes going through good times and bad for that love to grow and become stronger. I am excited and alittle nervous to see what the future holds for our to families.

Picture from our Friday night...

Saturday morning started out early... Kason felt the need to get up at 6:15 am. I made him stay in bed till about 7 am when he finally let me know that he was done aka Screaming. Saturday morning was mostly spent at the house playing then we headed to Zac's Birthday party from 2-4pm. Kason had a blast. It was at my sister church in there gym so he was able to run around and play with every ball possible. Afterwards we headed home and Shaun was still working on Mackayla's brakes. Ofcourse the nightmare of the night came when I get a phone call at 10:30 pm and Mackayla is on the phone saying she had a wreck her dad's truck on New Castle Road and she was crying. I kept her on the phone until her Dad and boyfriend got there and they went ahead and took her to UAB to get checked out. Thankfully she was fine but we are not so sure about his truck yet. They finally got back to my house around 2:30 am ofcourse during all this another wreck happened on New Castle and they actually had to call Lifesaver to transport him. Needless to say New Castle road was a very busy road Saturday night / Sunday morning.

Zac's Birthday Party

Sunday we didn't make it to church but we had to go to his mom's for lunch because they were having Tyler's (Shaun's nephew) Birthday lunch. Afterwards both the girls and Shaun came to my house. Shaun worked on finishing Mackayla's brakes (I told him not to quit his day job), the girls and Mackayla's boyfriend hung out at the house and me and Kason went to Walmart. When we got home Kason took a nap and the rest of the evening was just spent hanging out at the house.

The next couple of days will be busy for me because I leave for West Palm Beach (Work not Fun) Wednesday morning so I have to get myself packed and Kason packed to go stay with his Daddy. Please keep Kason in your prayers this week. Not that I don't think his Dad can take care of him but it makes me nervous leaving him for that long with his Dad and family. Also pray that I have a safe trip. I never really like flying but considering a plane just landed in the Hudson what 2 weeks ago it makes me alittle bit more nervous.

I hope everyone had a great weekend!!!

Go Torches!!!!

Okay so my weekend has started off alittle different. Shaun had told me at the beginning of the week that Mackenzie was getting some excellence's award for cheerleading Friday night at the basketball game and he wanted to go. Bad thing is it doesn't start until 7:30 pm. Now most of you know I try and put Kason to bed every night at 8:00 pm. so I'm thinking this isn't going to be good but I agree to go anyways. Well yesterday I had pretty much made my mind up I wasn't going because I knew Kason wasn't going to sit still that long and all he was going to do was cry for the ball so I told Shaun we weren't going. Ofcourse he comes back saying Please Mackenzie is already expecting us so he really wanted us to go. So I said FINE!!! So I go pick up Kason from daycare and he just seems alittle whiny when we get home..so ofcourse I'm already thinking and telling Shaun this is going to be a nightmare of a night. Anyways after Shaun gets here and gets ready we head to Chick fil A for dinner and hopefully alittle play time for Kason on the inside playground. Finally around 7 pm we headed to the basketball game. Ofcourse the girls are still playing and the game is running behind. OH GREAT is all I am thinking. I didn't mind going to the game I just wish it would have been minus Kason because like I thought he wanted down and wanted to throw out like a crazy person. I think the boys game finally started sometime around 8 pm. Kason ofcourse was getting restless so Shaun took him out one time so he could play around for awhile. Okay if anyone remembers how basketball games are the cheerleaders normally do cheers in between timeouts, periods and halftime. Well what I'm about to say is something that has never happened to me before. We are probably sitting on about the 3 row up and the cheerleaders come out to do their cheer. As they come out I was thinking wow they sure are getting awful close. Then all of a sudden this is what I hear... HEY Angela (I'm thinking to myself why did they just say my name) Shaun has something to ask you and he turns to me and says Will You Marry Me??? I know my face was about 10 shades of red because at this point I wanted to crawl into a hole. I am one of those people who doesn't mind being in a crowd but I don't like all the attention just on me. I say YES and everybody starts making that AHHHHHHH noise and clapping. Obviously him and Mackenzie planned this at the beginning of the week and I had no idea. I must say I give him points for creativeness.

Oh and by the way there never was a excellence award for Mackenzie he just said I had to get you hear some how.

Inauguration Day

Well lets see...Friday night after I picked Kason up from Daycare we just went back to the house and hung out because it was way to cold to do anything else.

Saturday started at 7 am because Kason was sooooo ready to get up. We stayed in the house all day Saturday because once again it was to cold to do anything else. I however got alot accomplished at the house as far as cleaning house, washing clothes and I even took down all the blinds in the house and washed them. I know I should have waited until Spring time but it was driving me crazy so I figured why not.

Sunday was church and I thought it was just going to be me and Kason because Shaun got called into work around 12:30 am Sunday morning and didn't get to the house until 10 am just enough time to get a quick shower and head to church. If it would have been me I would have just crawled right into my bed. Afterwards we went to his mom and dad's for alittle while then headed back to my house so we could all take a nap. After nap I took Kason over to his Aunt Leslie for the night and I made a quick trip to Walmart. By the time I got back Shaun was up and ready to go. So we decided to go to Robert's house for game night. It's not something I get to do very often on Sunday nights anymore so when I don't have Kason I try to make it over there.

Monday (my holiday) started out at 4:30 am. I had to take Shaun to have his last epidural block and we had to be in Pelham at 6:15 am. So much for sleeping in on my only day off for awhile. Afterwards we went to breakfast at a place called Scott's in Birmingham and then headed to Walmart for some items he needed to pick up. Finally around 11:00 am I was back home and went straight to my bed. I was able to get about a 2 hour nap before we had to meet my mom at Summit Landscaping (in the freezing cold) to pick out plants. I went to go get Kason after he woke up from nap then came back home to get dinner ready for 7 people. Mackenzie had called while we were out and wanted to come to the house and drive her car, Mackayla found out we were grilling and wanted to come and bring a possible boyfriend for her dad to meet and I think Mikah just came because he likes to eat. Ofcourse Kason loves all the extra attention he gets when everyone is there so he kept everyone entertained. Finally dinner was ready and everyone seemed happy. After dinner everyone hung out for awhile, we got everything cleaned up, I got Kason to bed and then I wasn't to far behind him.

And well today is Tuesday and ofcourse it's back to work. Shaun went to workout in Trussville this morning so he came by and took Kason to daycare for me and he will get him this evening because I am taking dinner to my friend's Anthony and April who just welcomed a new baby, Landon Brent Cain, on January 11th. I know how hard this time is for them and when I had Kason people brought us dinner for almost a month and it was so very helpful.

The rest of the week is nothing really exciting atleast I don't think and the only thing so far I can think of for the weekend is my cousin's little boy, Zac's birthday party on Saturday.

Hopefully everyone had a great weekend and was able to be off yesterday.

Kason loves playing with the computer and he just want keep his hands off of it.

I love this face...he knows he has been caught AGAIN.

He just loves music and will dance everytime he hears it.
Also listen for him to say PaPaw...sometimes I think that is the only word other
than ball that he knows.

Notice Booty Shaking...

Dressed for Church...when he gets older he will kill me for the hat.

Mommy - Mom - Mother

My very bestfriend April sent this to me this morning so I wanted to share...

To all the Mommy's and Mommy's to be

Real Mothers don't eat quiche; they don't have time to make it.

Real Mothers know that their kitchen utensils are probably in the sandbox.

Real Mothers often have sticky floors, filthy ovens and happy kids.

Real Mothers know that dried play dough doesn't come out of carpets.

Real Mothers don't want to know what the vacuum just sucked up.

Real Mothers sometimes ask 'Why me?' and get their answer when a little voice says, 'Because I love you best.'

Real Mothers know that a child's growth is not measured by height or years or grade...It is marked by the progression of Mommy to Mom to Mother...

The Images of Mother

4 YEARS OF AGE - My Mommy can do anything!

8 YEARS OF AGE - My Mom knows a lot! A whole lot!

12 YEARS OF AGE - My Mother doesn't really know quite everything.

14 YEARS OF AGE - Naturally, Mother doesn't know that, either.

16 YEARS OF AGE - Mother, She's hopelessly old-fashioned.

18 YEARS OF AGE - That old woman? She's way out of date!

25 YEARS OF AGE - Well, she might know a little bit about it.

35 YEARS OF AGE - Before we decide, let's get Mom' s opinion.

45 YEARS OF AGE - Wonder what Mom would have thought about it?

65 YEARS OF AGE - Wish I could talk it over with Mom.

The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman must be seen from in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. The beauty of a woman is not in a facial mole, but true beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul .. It is the caring that she lovingly gives, the passion that she shows, and the beauty of a woman with passing years only grows!

3 Day Weekend...I don't have to work Monday!!!!

Well the last 2 nights at the Reno household have been quite because Kason went to stay with his dad. I normally don't do middle of the week but he has to work this weekend so I said okay. Wednesday night I got kabobs from Fresh Market and me and Shaun cooked on the grill and watched American Idol. Last night we decided to go to Chili's and then spend our Food World gift card from Christmas.

We really don't have any major plans for the weekend other than trying to stay warm. I put Santa Fe Soup in the crock-pot for dinner tonight so I'm sure it will just be a night of hanging out at the house. Who knows what Saturday will hold and Sunday ofcourse is church and lunch with The Dooley's. Sunday evening Kason is going to spend the night with Aunt Leslie because I have to be up early Monday morning to take Shaun for a epidural block and daycare doesn't open that early. Our Monday is pretty busy with things to do and errans to run.

I hope everyone has had a great week...and TGIF!!!!

Bronchitis now a Ear Infection...

Well let see where should I begin...Friday night Shaun had to work alittle later than normal but we were still about to meet Doug and April for dinner. Afterwards we headed to Walmart to do alittle grocery shopping. FUN FUN FUN!!!!

Saturday morning I slept until 10 am and boy did it feel GREAT!!! After that I didn't slow down until bedtime again. I got Kason room completely clean and hopefully germ free. When I talked to my mom to check on him she said he had a restless night but seemed okay this morning ofcourse when I talked to her later after his nap she said his ear was draining blood and she is thinking he has a ear infection. GREAT GREAT GREAT!!! My mom didn't bring Kason home till around 4:30 so I was able to get half of the front bedroom paint and my house cleaned. Shaun also washed my car and started working on some type of project at my house. He says he has a vision of what it is going to look like so I'm just letting him go with it. Later that evening Mackayla and Mikah came over for dinner and we all just hung out at the house. Oh yeah and my mom and dad made it through their first night with both grandkids. The plan was for Madison, Mom and Kason to sleep in a room together and PaPaw by himself but around 11pm Madison said she just couldn't take it anymore and she needed some sleep so she got in bed with PaPaw. The next morning she told Nana and PaPaw she didn't realize how hard it would be sleeping in the same room as Kason. I guess even 6 year olds need there beauty sleep.

Sunday started out with more ear drainage so I decided to call the nurse to see if they needed to see him since he had never had blood drainage before. Ofcourse what did they say Yes we probably need to see him within the next 24 hours...So it was either yesterday or take off today and so after church we made a 1:30 pm and headed to the After Hours clinic. Thank the good Lord I was in and out in just 1 hour and was told his right ear is probably stopped up and was given another 10 days of antibiotics and sent home. I must say this is only the 2nd ear infection since we had his tubes put in almost a year ago so I really can't complain. The rest of the evening was just spent hanging out at the house because it was really to cold to do anything else.

Please continue to keep both me and Kason in your prayers.
Lots of Love, Angela

Funny things Kason does:
Every picture is PaPaw and if it is a picture of PaPaw he will bring it to me so I can see him.
Every toy is a ball or he thinks is a ball and should throw it.
He had learned a new word..Cracker and now that is all he wants.
Sometimes if you are lucky he will give you a kiss.

Happy Friday

All I can say is THANK THE LORD ITS FRIDAY AND THANK THE LORD KASON IS GOING TO STAY AT NANA AND PAPAW'S TONIGHT so I can have 1 complete night of rest!!!!

Kason is finally starting to feel better and last night was probably our best night of rest. Thanks to his Granny Linda he hasn't had to go to daycare all week and I didn't have to take off work. He still has a nagging cough but it is mostly after he has been laying down that it seems to be the worst. Atleast we aren't running a fever anymore.

We have no major plans for the weekend...I have to buy groceries tonight because I am down to my last roll of toilet paper and when I say last that means it is the roll I am using now. So since I don't have Kason tonight it best to do it tonight.
Before I go get Kason tomorrow I need to do alittle cleaning in his room to get rid of any lingering germs. As far as Saturday evening we don't have any plans, probably just hang out at the house and then ofcourse church on Sunday.

I hope everyone has had a great week.

I'm not really for sure how Kason knew he needed to jump up to try and get the magnets off the frig but he sure was trying....

Patience

Well yesterday was a very long day...mostly spent holding Kason ALL DAY LONG. He was quite the whiny one yesterday but at times you would have thought nothing was even wrong with him. Finally around 3:15 we headed to Dr. Walley's office. I really didn't want to take him but he has been sick off / on since Christmas so I figured I might as well go ahead and waste another copay. We got to Dr. Walley's office around 3:45 because are appointment was at 4:00. Let me just say 1 hour 15 minutes later which would be 5 pm we finally got called back to a room. Lucky for me Kason sat in my lap the whole time which is a first. When Dr. Walley came in the room I told him that we had missed him so we came to pay to visit with him. He got a laugh as well as myself so I wouldn't cry. But 1 good thing did come out of the doctors visit we have BRONCHITIS which means we atleast left with antibiotics. I know I shouldn't be excited that my child is sick but atleast it wasn't just a viral infection. We also have a yeast infection which I'm not even going to go there. So we finally were out of the doctors office around 5:15 and then I discovered not only was I going to get in afternoon traffic but it was raining. I think we finally made it to CVS in Fultondale around 5:50 to discover that is would be a 45 minute wait for his medicine...YEA RIGHT. Like I'm going to sit in CVS for 45 minutes with a sick baby. He was already a angel at the doctors office I sure wasn't about to push my luck. So I headed home to already cooked dinner, which might I say was NICE and Shaun watched Kason so I could run back and get the medicine. Kason sleep okay I guess...he woke up off /on crying and coughing and giving him medicine for some reason lately has become a nightmare. Needless to say he is at his Granny's today so I could come back to work.

I'm sure God got another great laugh out of me yesterday...He is just determined to teach me patience and as I have said many of times I don't pray for patience for a reason but I guess he doesn't really care what I want.

45 Minutes of Work

I hope everyone had a great weekend...Nothing really to exciting happened this weekend. I didn't work Friday because I didn't want Kason to have to go to daycare so I took off and spent the day with him. Later that evening Kason had to go to his dads for the weekend so there went my entertainment. Me and Shaun went up to my Aunt's to watch half of the Alabama game then came back to the my house to watch the other half. Saturday morning I ofcourse took advantage of Kason not being at home and sleep late. For lunch me and Shaun decided to go to Buffalo Wild Wings and then to the movies and saw Marley and Me. Afterwards we just headed home and hung out at the house for the night. I decided to be lazy Sunday morning and not go to church ofcourse now I'm thinking that was a bad idea. Dennis brought Kason home around 5 because he wasn't feeling well. He was running a low grade fever and so I decided to give him some Motrin. Ofcourse after this he decides he is going to throw up all over the couch and myself. GREAT is what I am thinking at this point. Needless to say we didn't have such a good night. We were up off and on all night. I thought we might make it atleast 1/2 day at daycare but NO try 45 minutes. Yep that means I'm off today with a sick little one. Called the doctor and I have a appointment at 4 pm. Ofcourse I'm sure they will say it is a viral infection but I don't want to take any chances since he is coughing pretty bad.

Hope everyone had a great weekend!!!

Mr. Independent

Well it was lunch time today and I was trying to feed Kason ravioli's but he wouldn't have anything to do with it. I kept trying and trying but he kept turning his head away from me. Finally I thought maybe if I sit him at his table and put it in front of him he would let me feed him...still nothing. He kept grabbing for the spoon but once again when I tried to feed him he would just turn his head. Finally I sat the ravioli's in front of him and well as you can see he wanted to try and be Mr. Independent today....

Yes we had a big mess but he finally ate lunch.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!!!

January 1, 2009

Well I hope everyone had a safe New Year's Eve...Me and Shaun went to dinner at my favorite place PF Chang's then back to my house to watch Rockin New Year's Eve. I know what you are thinking WOW they live a exciting life.

Once again HAPPY NEW YEARS!!!!!!!
