Finally Made A Par 3

All I can say is the next two weeks are going to be BUSY!!!! Me and Tim have a fun trip coming up this weekend. Tim's turns the BIG 41 on Thursday and we have great things plan but are unable to disclose any details or where abouts at this moment. I will go ahead and answer what some of you might be think...NO WE AREN'T GOING TO GET MARRIED!!! lol :-)

As far as last week and weekend goes we had a great one.

Kason went to his first Alabama v Auburn basketball game with his daddy and by the looks of it he had a really good time :) I kept telling him he was going to watch AL and AU and he kept telling me AU wasn't going to be there. After realizing I was fighting a losing battle I just said okay. First thing he asked his daddy when he picked him up for the game...Is Auburn going to be there??? I'm sure he just couldn't wait to prove me wrong but as always MOMMIE was right. Seriously this is already starting and he is only 3 1/2.

Wednesday night me and Melanie had a much needed girl's night..Even though we just went to dinner we still had a good time and yes she is going to kill me for posting this picture but what can I say gotta remember the memories...

Thursday night Tim came down for the weekend and just worked from my house of Friday. We did dinner at home Thursday night, Kason ran around the house like a mad man and we watched American Idol.

HELLO Friday...It was PJ day for Kason at day. All I can say is I wish we had a PJ day at ProAssurance. The joys of being a kid again!!

Friday night me and Tim went to dinner at Applebee's and then meet Melanie at Homefield for awhile. Good times!!

Surprisingly I was up pretty early Saturday morning...I was able to work in the yard while Tim went to the driving range. Nothing like working in the yard to make you feel all good inside. I can't wait for SPRING!!!!

That afternoon we FINALLY celebrated Zac's 8th Birthday!!!

Afterwards I ran Kason back to his Granny's, ran a few errands while Tim finished watching the AL basketball game (which they lost) then we headed out for a little bit of shopping. We ran by TJ Maxx first and he bought a few things then headed to the Galleria to break the wallet (notice I said wallet not purse ;) at Buckle and then I went to get a pedicure while he finished shopping.

Sunday I went to church then Me and Tim headed to Greenbrier for some golf. This is where the title of my blog comes to play. I must say golf really isn't my thing!!! I played some important role that day though.... flag girl, ball fetcher (alot of ball fetching) and golf cart driver.

that evening he cooked his famous pork chop casserole for me and Melanie and then we watch Sectarian and just hung out at the house for the rest of the night :)

And here we are Monday...Thank God I only worked half a day due to April's grandmother's funeral because it was already a day from HELL by 11:30. We took over one of our agencies in Tennessee, which is a good thing as in job security but my Lord until we get everything worked out it is a NIGHTMARE!!! I am glad I'm only working tomorrow and Wednesday and then Monday - Thursday of next week.

Look who we are babysitting until Wednesday...Max!!! Tim has already asked a couple of times how we are doing. I mean really??? I gave birth to a child and he is still alive I think I can handle a 10 year old minpin ;) Lord can you imagine how he would be if he actually had kids??? Max's looks pretty content to me all curled up in my bed. I told Melanie this morning he is going to miss Max more than me and that really isn't a joke!!

THE COUNTDOWN TO DISNEY...12 DAYS and we will be in the most magical place in the world!!!

Kason's First Trip To Huntsville

Tim was brave enough to let us spend the weekend with him in Huntsville. I guess the real test will be if we get an invite back..lol

When we got to Huntsville we decided to make the night kid friendly with a trip to Chick fil A. Of course the play area in Huntsville is a lot bigger than Gardendale's and my sweet little one made it to the top but couldn't figure out how to get to the slide. Panic mode set in and he was screaming and crying. All I can say is they are built well because I had to climb to the top to help him get to the slide of course the areas aren't made for adults but I managed and saved the day in Kason's eyes. Afterward we just hung out at the house watching TV and Kason was excited to use his sleeping bag for the first time.

Playing a little soccer in the back yard Saturday morning before we really got the day started

Saturday morning after Tim got back from helping Jerald with a side job, we headed out for lunch at Arby's, a few other stops then to Jerald and Laura's house so the boys could play. We had a really great time and the boys did great together. Jerald cooked steaks on the grill and then the guys (I should say Tim) watched Alabama Basketball. All I can say is thank GOD they won :)

We even tried a few games on the Wii. Everyone including myself got beat by Bryson in boxing - did I mention he is 4 but he takes it very serious

Just Us!!

Knock Out 1

And the final KO

Poor guy played so hard we didn't make it very far and he was out like a light.

Sunday morning he of course was up bright and early as always and we just hung out at the house before we headed back to Morris. I planned the trip home around nap time and I hit the jackpot. 5 minutes into the car ride and he was already out.

When we got we ran a few errands and then headed officially home. He must have been pretty tired because he really didn't give me much trouble when it was time for bed and I was able to get a lot of things done around the house.

The next couple of weeks are going to be CRAZY!!!! Kason is going with his dad Wednesday to the Alabama / Auburn basketball game and will be with his dad the remaining of the week. Tim is suppose to come down Thursday night and spend the weekend here. We have a birthday party for Zac (my cousin's little boy) on Saturday but other than that no set plans. Alabama plays this weekend so I know that fits in the schedule some where. Tim's birthday is March 3rd and we are leaving for a surprise trip (not a surprise to him but someone else) and then me and Kason fly out the follow Saturday for DISNEY!!!! BUSY but it's all going to be a blast

Hope everyone had a great weekend and was able to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather!!!

Love you all!!

You Are My I Love You

I am loving this song by Rascal Flatts..It makes me think of Kason and myself every time I hear it.

I can't imagine my life without Kason and even though times I get upset or frustrated with him, I know I am very thankful and blessed to have this little miracle in my life. I don't do things the way people think I should or I may not always make the best decision but I see his unconditional love for me everyday so I must be doing something right. Being a single mom is tough at times but I wouldn't trade the last 3 1/2 years for anything and even though I know my situation could be or could have been a lot worse until you have walked a mile in someone elses shoes you probably wouldn't understand and I'm beginning to see that a lot of people will never understand no matter what.

Kason You Are My I Love You!!!

I will stand by you by Rascal Flatts

It's like a storm that cuts a path
It's breaks your will
It feels like that

You think your lost but your not lost on your own
Your not alone
I will stand by you
I will help you through
When you've done all you can do
If you can't cope
I will dry your eyes
I will fight your fight
I will hold you tight
And I won't let go

It hurts my heart
To see you cry
I know it's dark
This part of life
Oh it finds us all
And we're too small
To stop the rain
Oh but when it rains

I will stand by you
I will help you through
When you've done all you can do
And you can't cope
I will dry your eyes
I will fight your fight
I will hold you tight

And I won't let you fall
Don't be afraid to fall
I'm right here to catch you
I won't let you down
It won't get down
Your gonna make it
Yea I know you can make it

Cause I will stand by you
I will help you through
When you've done all you can do
And you can't cope
And I will dry your eyes
I will fight your fight
I will hold you tight
And I won't let go
Oh I'm gonna hold you
And I won't let go
Won't let you go
No I won't

Roses for Me??? You shouldn't have ;)

I must say I had a pretty awesome weekend, not to mention the weather was great!!!

Friday night I went to Robert and Lindsey's wedding reception at Comfort Inn Suites. They had a small ceremony at the beginning of the year with their families and then had a wedding reception to celebrate with their friends. I would like to say that I wish them both lots of luck and love as they begin this new journey together. Of course on a more selfish note my list of single girlfriends continues to get smaller and smaller... Looks like it's just me and you Melanie!!! :)

Afterward I headed to Huntsville for the weekend and when I arrived I was greeted with

and a Valentine's card. My Valentine's gift was him taking me to get my haircut and colored which I haven't had done since April, yes April is a really long time without getting a hair cut but I never seem to make the time to have it done. I must say I am very happy with the results.

That night we went to Crossroads for the Crossfade concert with his cousin and some friends. We had a great time even though I stayed out way past my bedtime.

Saturday he dropped me off to get my hair done and then we headed to Wintzells for lunch and to watch a little Alabama basketball (no surprise here). After being out half the night Friday we called it a early night on Saturday and just hung out at the house.

Sunday was a great weather day so Tim went a played a little golf and I hit up a couple of the malls to start getting Kason's closet ready for much wanted warmer weather. While I was at the mall I was able to get a couple of pictures of Greg McElroy signing Alabama memorabilia.

Later that evening we headed over to Bonefish with his neighbor's for dinner.

Yesterday morning I got up early so I could drive down for Kason's Valentine party. I must say my little man looked so cute all dressed up in his tie. We had a great time at the party and Kason got a lot of candy!!

Party favors my mom made for Kason's class

Kason with his Big AL I made him at Build A Bear for Valentine's

Afterwards I headed back to Huntsville so me and Tim could celebrate Valentine's together. I stopped by his work to visit for a few minutes and as you can see he was hard at work...

then I headed to the grocery store so I could pick up items for are Valentine's dinner. We cook baked ziti and added some garlic bread and a ceaser salad. Dessert which is most important to Tim was chocolate covered cheesecake and I must say it was all so yummy. I think we both gained 10 pounds just looking at it and I wonder why I can't lose weight.

And here we are Tuesday night and I finally figured out this crazy Iphone4. Trying to talk to technical support over the phone only leads to complete frustration for me. I finally just told the guy I would go into the store so I could get him off the phone and then I figured it out myself. I was also so very happy to have Kason back and he has managed to pull out all his toys in the small amount of time he has been here. No big plans for tomorrow night but Thursday me and Kason are going to visit with my parents for awhile. Friday after work I am taking Kason for his first trip to Huntsville. Tim's friends Jerald and Laura have two little boys and they have been begging me to bring him up so they can play and that's just what we plan on doing.

Hope everyone had a great weekend!!!

Who Is Valentine's Day Really For, Anyway?

WOW what an crazy week it has been and I must say I'm glad it's over with and the weekend has finally arrived. This blog is really just me rambling but sometimes that's what works best for me.

WEEK IN REVIEW:

Monday I drove in from Huntsville bright and early because I had a date with the IRS to get my taxes done at 8 am. I don't normally do morning appointment but with Chris, my accountant, you have to catch him early before he gets 2 hours behind. Heck I was the first appointment and he was still about 30 minutes late starting with me. While waiting I met this older man who felt the need to know every personal detail about me. What I mean by personal was he asked where my husband was??? I was like really do all women bring there husband with them to get the taxes done??? I said I'm not married. At that point he felt the need to come sit by me, and I was thinking oh LORD. He then of course asked if I had a boyfriend and explained to me that Huntsville was to far away. I was thinking it doesn't matter if he lives in Mexico you don't have a chance. It was quite entertaining to say the least and the questions just kept on coming.

Tuesday was a pretty peaceful day at work and Tim came down that evening.

Wednesday I had to attend my CE class for my agent licenses. It is 7 hours of hell. The only good thing about it normally is the food but to be quite honest it wasn't even all that great this time. Getting out at 3 is nice and I was able to get some errands ran before heading home. Later that night I met Melanie and her boss at Applebees for a little adult time.

Thursday morning we woke up to snow, at least 2 - 3 inches I must say. It was absolutely beautiful and I really can't even believe I didn't take the first picture. Of course it was off to work as usual but at least it gave me something nice to look at on my drive into work. It was a crazy day in general and I was super busy working on a project for my boss. Yesterday evening it was more errands and then home to get things packed to go to Huntsville today and things ready for Kason's Valentine's party on Monday. By the end of the day when I laid my held down on my pillow I was drained emotionally, mentally and physically.

And here we are TGIF, I woke up bright and early and on time. Any time I call my sister for our morning chat and she hasn't even dropped Madison off yet means I'm REALLY on time. Trust me it doesn't happen very much. It is so beautiful outside but still a little colder than I prefer. I hear we are suppose to have a nice weekend so I'm pretty excited about that. Tonight I am headed to Lindsey Hill's wedding reception and then off to Huntsville for the Crossfade concert. Not really for sure what the rest of the weekend holds for me, I know I have heard Hockey game and then probably head home on Sunday so I can be at Kason's Valentine party on Monday. Oh yea by the way for all you BRG haters I'm OFF MONDAY!!!

Side note about myself: It seems lately I am learning something new about myself but still in the process I'm trying to figure it all out. Crazy sounding I know but my mind runs 24/7. I have a lot of problems putting the past in the past, which puts me a lot of the time thinking and second guessing my decision alot but I know my decisions not only affect me but most importantly the little boy that depends on me everyday. I am such a planner and I had different plans for my life then what has happend over the last 4 years. I know I should just enjoy everyday as is but that is really hard for me because I don't RELAX I am always on the go and I don't like the fact that I don't know what the future holds. Like I said I'm a planner so the unknown scares the crap out of me.

Hope everyone has had a great week!! Love you all :)

P.S. At little side note for my roommate Melanie...I must say that when you asked me to move in back in November I wasn't really for sure how it was going to work and if I would like having someone around again. I am a very independent person and for the most part anyone who really knows me knows that I can be moody and likes to be left alone. This is something I don't deny. I must say that I, as well as Kason, have really enjoyed you being there and I think it has been good for both of us. We keep each other in line and from making mistakes that we know we will regret come the morning. Love ya :)

He Loves His Crimson Tide

Wednesday night we were able to go to T-Town and watch the Alabama v Mississippi State basketball game, thanks to my work. It was my first college basketball game that I can ever remember and I must say it's alot better watching it live then on TV.

Thursday was a crazy day due to the weather and considering it took me 2 hours and 15minutes to get home from work I was ready for that day to pretty much be over.

Friday I headed to Huntsville after work. We didn't get into much Friday night mostly stayed around the house and cooked on the grill. Saturday I went out for awhile to do a little shopping then we headed to Wintzells to watch the Alabama v Tennessee basketball game. Afterwards we met Laura and Jerald at Bishop where we ended the night.

Sunday has pretty much been a lazy day, I did manage to clean out my car and Tim fixed a shrimp boil and we have been watching the Super Bowl.

Hope everyone has had a great weekend and enjoyed the beautiful weather today because it seems like we want see another day like today for awhile.

Love you all

1 Month In The Books For 2011

So far 2011 has been great!!! I ended 2010 and started 2011 with some pretty awesome friends in Nashville. We had a lot of fun and made a lot of great memories. Nashville truly is my favorite place to visit other than the beach and bringing in the New Year in Nashville was just perfect.

Me and Tim headed to Nashville on Friday, December 31st with April and Doug. We grabbed a quick lunch and then headed back to the room to rest up for the BIG night.

We had dinner reservations at Virago's (best sushi ever)
then headed
downtown to meet up with Tim's family and friends.
We rang in the NEW YEAR at Graham Center Station which was a blast.
The night became even better when we went to leave and it was pouring down rain. Needless to say after running more than 7 blocks in the rain, Tim almost getting ran over by a possible drunk driver, he finally got us a cab and we arrived safely back at the hotel.

Saturday morning started early because the Alabama v. Michigan St game came on at 12 and we had to be at McFadden's before the doors even opened at 11, literally. After Alabama killed Michigan State 49-7 we headed to Wild Horse for a little country line dancing and just some hang out time.
The night started off pretty interesting because me and Tim had our "first" real argument...lol Everything was really crowded and I was starving not to mention tired. I think he knows now when I'm hungry DON'T MESS WITH ME and he better get me some food quick. We ended up at an Italian restaurant called Amerigo. I got my belly full and my butt off my shoulder and we spend the rest of the night downtown at The Stage.

And as the saying goes "All Good Things Must Come To An End" we headed back to Huntsville on Sunday.

WEEKEND #2 for January was a trip back to Huntsville. Tim's friend Jerald and Laura were able to join us Saturday night for dinner at Las Trojas Cantina "home of the Margarona"
and then we went next door to hear Jason Albert "formerly known at Heartland" play.

I came home Sunday morning because the weather was calling for snow and I sure didn't want to take the chance of getting stuck in Huntsville.

Work went ahead and closed late Sunday evening and it was a good thing I came home from Huntsville because they got around 10 inches of snow and we only got about 2 inches of ice / snow mix. Me and Melanie spent Sunday evening and Monday doing absolutely nothing. We walked outside for just a bit to feel of the ice / snow mix and decided it was just to cold.

And who can forget January 10th...Auburn played Oregon and won the 2010 BCS NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP (22-19) Can I get a WAR EAGLE!!!!!

Tuesday was another off day for me due to the roads and the fact that I wanted to get bug back home with me. Of course it was back to work for me on Wednesday and Kason got to enjoy Granny's for the rest of the week.

WEEKEND #3 was a pretty relaxing weekend. Tim came down and we went to dinner and then just hung out at the house. Kason went for his first sleep over some where else other than a relatives house and I bet my mom is reading this saying OMG who did she let her baby stay with??? It's okay mom it was just April. I wasn't for sure how he would do and I told April if he woke up in the middle of the night that I would just come get him. I asked Kason when I picked him up Friday if he wanted to spend the night with Nathan. All he could talk about was all the toys Nathan had so I knew he would be fine. I think Doug finally had to threaten them at midnight to go to bed. Who knows what time they really went to sleep because Kason took a 5 hour nap on Saturday but he seemed to have alot of fun. Sunday was church for me and Kason and then we went skating at Roller Motion with my sister's church.
All I can say is I'm getting to old and I'm too out of shape to be skating. Monday we celebrated Martin Luther King Day with a off day from work...YAY!!! We just spent the day being lazy.

WEEKEND #4 was a trip back to Huntsville. Me and Tim did dinner at Ruby Tuesday and then went home and I crashed. Saturday was cleaning day!!! Tim cleaned his house and I cleaned my car. I must say I don't think I have ever seen my car so clean. That night we met Jerald and Laura at Thirsty Turtle so Tim could watch the AL v AU basketball game then headed to Logan's for dinner and then ended the night at Bishop's.

Sunday we went to see The Dilemma then met Jerald to watch the rest of some NFL game. Needless to say I went shopping while they watched football.

Leading up to Weekend #5 was interesting to say the least. Friday night Kason stayed with Nana and Papaw. Tim came down and we met April, Doug, Tiffany and Josh at Logan's for dinner
then headed to Homefield where we eventually met up with my roomie Melanie and her boyfriend Danny. It was Tim and Danny's first visit to Homefield and I'm sure they were really impressed..lol. We however did have alot of fun

and shut the place down at 2 am despite what everyone tried to tell me at dinner.

Saturday morning we headed to Wildcat Country to get Kason then to Stix for Madison's 6th birthday lunch,
home for what I thought was going to be a relaxing evening but right as I was about to take a nap Tim told me I better get up and clean my carpet are it want get done. I must say once I got started I was soooo very happy with the results. The look and feel of my carpet now is FABULOUS. Sunday was church for me and Kason then came home to Tim cooking a nice lunch for all of us before he headed back to Huntsville. The rest of the night was spent hanging out at the house with Kason and Melanie.

And here we are the first day of February and I really can't believe I remembered all that. We have had a pretty uneventful week so far and I hope it stays like that. Tim is suppose to make a mid week visit tomorrow if weather permits and Thursday Kason is going to his dad's for the weekend and I get to have some much needed Lindsey Davis time over dinner and Friday I'm headed to Huntsville for the weekend.

We officially have 39 days until we board the plane to the happiest place in the world...DISNEY!!! I swear me and my sister talk about it every morning and I get more and more excited every day!!! Me and Tim are taking a trip the weekend before for his birthday but due to it being a surprise for someone, not that they would be reading my blog but I can't say much about it other than I will be on a plane two weekends in a row.
