I need to remember this today :)

For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you." Luke 6:38

So that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men but in the power of God. 1 Corinthians 2: 5

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus..Philippians 4:6-7

What A Great Weekend!!!!

My weekend started off pretty early because my boss decided to let us go home around 2:00 pm on Friday. I headed home and took a nap since Kason was staying with Nana and PaPaw. Later that evening me and Shaun met his friend Chuck Lewis and his wife at Stix's Friday night for dining and then a quick trip into Lowes.

Saturday morning started over early around 8:30 am and didn't end till about 5:00 pm. We worked in and around the yard and house all day long. It was a hot day but we got so much accomplished. We worked on the yard (front and back), finally the roof issue is fixed all we have to do is paint the repair part, worked on the flower beds, and even completely took the shed down, built a floor for it and put it all back together and organized. Like I said me and Shaun worked our little booties off Saturday. Finally we left to go get Kason from my mom and dads. He told me they went swimming and could tell me the sounds a lion, frog, bird, dog and cats makes. It's the cutest thing and I will have to video so I can show you. I was glad to have him back home with me Saturday night even though I was tired from working in the yard all day we stayed outside and played in his clubhouse till almost 9 pm.

Saturday Night..

Sunday ofcourse was church and we also went back to the Sunday School class that we visited last Sunday. I think it is going to be our new home on Sunday mornings. We both really enjoy it and I think it will be great for us because we will be able to make friends with people our age that have kids Kason's age. I'm so excited about it. Afterwards we went to Nanny and Poppy's house (Shaun's parents) for lunch and so they could see Kason. He really enjoys being around them and Shaun's dad just loves playing with Kason. Sunday evening was filled with a nap and while I went to the funeral home (my church growing up.. pastors mother died) Shaun stayed home with Kason and had some play time. I think they mostly just played in the clubhouse and in the rain.

Sunday Evening...

This week is only a 4 day work week thanks to the 4th of July holiday. Kason has to go to his dad's this weekend which makes me sad because he want be celebrating with me at the pool but regardless to what everyone else thinks I'm doing the right thing..I hope??? Please continue to pray for me regarding this whole situation between me and Dennis. I know the future is going to be filled with questions from Kason and I just don't know how I'm going to handle it because I don't want to see my little boy hurt. I told his dad this morning it's times like this I want to put my hands around his throat.

I hope everyone had a great weekend and I'm sure everyone is ready for the extra day off. YEAH!!!!

We hope everyone has had a great week. Kason is going to spend the night with his Nana and Papaw tonight and me and Shaun are going to work on house stuff all day tomorrow. Maybe when we go get Kason tomorrow evening we can get alittle pool time in. Sunday ofcourse will be church and then it's time to start the week over. Thank the Lord we only have a 4 day work week.

Yep It's That Time Of Year Again....

I know Kason's 2nd Birthday Party is still 2 months away but I like to go ahead and start getting stuff together and planned. Since my sweet little boy adores ELMO so much I have decided to just go with the Elmo Loves You party theme.

Father's Day Weekend Fun!!!

We had a great weekend...Just can't believe it is already over with and Monday again. Friday night me and Shaun went to the Baron's game for free because I won tickets through work. We had a great time and the game was really good. We also got to see a pretty awesome firework show at the end.

Saturday was spent at the pool most of the day and then me and Shaun went back to the house, ate pizza and watched a movie.

Sunday ofcourse was church and we visited a sunday school class for the first time. Afterwards we headed to my moms for lunch and then to the country club for a relaxing day by the pool.

I hope everyone had a great Father's Day weekend.

Date night for me and Shaun at the Baron's Game

Happy Father's Day

What Makes a Dad

God took the strength of a mountain,
The majesty of a tree,
The warmth of a summer sun,
The calm of a quiet sea,
The generous soul of nature,
The comforting arm of night,
The wisdom of the ages,
The power of the eagle's flight,
The joy of a morning in spring,
The faith of a mustard seed,
The patience of eternity,
The depth of a family need,
Then God combined these qualities,
When there was nothing more to add,
He knew His masterpiece was complete,
And so, He called it ... Dad

Thanks for everything you have always done for me and Kason and for the sacrifice you made for me as a child and even to this day. I love you!!!

Shaun thanks for being apart of Kason's life and for all you do. I'm sure the 2 of you will make alot of great memories together.

Happy Father's Day Steven..Madison is lucky to have you as her dad.

And to all the wonderful dad's in the world..HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!!

Update On Life - Happy Wednesday

Well lets see if I can get you update on things going on...

My dad was released from the hospital late Tuesday night (6/9)...the arteriogram only showed that one of the grafts from his open heart surgery was alittle twisted. He is scheduled to have a PET scan to see if it is something that needs to be fixed or if it would be better to be left alone. He is still having problems with his blood pressure at times so I ask that everyone just continues to keep him in your prayers.

As of June 10th Shaun is on short term disability with Alabama Power. As I have posted before he has a pinched nerve issue along with a shift disk at the L4/L5 S1 area. After much evaluation from Dr. Hrynkiw and the Alabama Power doctors that have decided that Shaun is not able to return to work as a Lineman. Hopefully Alabama Power will be able to find him another job in the company and Shaun is also looking on his own as well. For now he is being what I call the "House Husband". Even though he can't be that forever because I don't have that much money to support us he is doing a fabulous job. My bed is made everyday (he does a better job than me), laundry is done and dinner is cooked and ready for me, and the kids when we get home. I wish he could be a full time House Husband but short term only pays $25 a day so financial its alittle tough right now. Once the long term kicks in he will receive 60% of his pay but we still have awhile before that happens. I'm trying my best not to worry about it because I know if I do my part the Lord will take care of us. Please just continue to keep him in your prayers as he goes through this lift changing event.

Kason is as sweet and as mean as ever. He is doing well at daycare and had his first water day last Friday. They said he would just take off running and dive into the kiddy pool. I'm not surprised the boy loves to take a bath. They said he kept them quite entertained. He is finally learning everyones name but still calls himself Baby. He has a great time when Mikah (Shaun's son) comes over and they keep each other entertained. Ofcourse one Mikah leave Kason goes through the house calling for Mikah or will say Where Mikah at??? This morning on the way to daycare he said I want Mikah??? He loves the play time that Mikah has with him. Of course since it is Father's Day weekend Kason will be going to his dads. :( Oh well I guess they need time together.

I am doing well...I was off work yesterday with I guess a fever virus but I am back to work today. I still feel alittle weird today but hey we both can't be off work. I'm adjusting to married life again even though its not much different because Shaun was at the house alot before we got married. I still don't know if I will ever get use to Shaun snoring. I really need to invest in a good pair of ear plugs or he is going to have to have sinus surgery. Work is going well it wasn't as busy as I thought it would be coming back from a week being off. I was able to play caught up pretty well.

Of course nothing much went on last weekend since it rained all weekend. I think we pretty much stayed inside all weekend. Friday we took the family of 6 to Buffalo Wild Wings...interesting to say the least but it all went well. Saturday was a lazy day and Sunday was church and the rest was us just being lazy and playing with Kason.

Not really for sure what the plans are for the weekend. Hopefully I will get some quite pool time since I want have Kason. Of course you never know what will happen especially when 3 teenagers are involved.

Okay I better get back to work...just wanted to post an update.

Updated on Life:

The wedding turned out beautiful even though there was a 30 minute delay due to 65North being shut down because of a fatal incident. Oh well I'm trying to learn not to sweat the small stuff but I'm not doing so well. We had a great time with family and friends and I can't thank my family for helping our day turn out so well. After I finally said good bye to Kason, which I must say was very hard and tears started forming in my eyeballs me and Shaun headed to Dave's in Homewood for pizza. I know pizza is what you are thinking but it was one of the first places Shaun took me on a date and we really enjoy the area. Afterwards we headed home and the rest you will just have to use your imagination.

Sunday morning started off early..4:15 am if you must know and my sister was at the house by 5:15 to take us to the airport. As I mentioned earlier Tucker Beam went to be with the Lord at 2:30 am. Please continue to pray for The Beam family as they go through this very tough time.

The cruise ofcourse was great...We were able to visit Key West, Grand Cayman and Jamaica. It sure is nice to leave in the USA though. We meet a really nice couple from Utah (Jared and Julie) that were are dinner buddies for the week. I also spent my 30th birthday on the cruise as well and was surprised by a birthday cake from my family. Even though I had a great time I was so happy to have my arms around my little one yesterday when I got to see him. I kissed him from head to toe. Lord I missed that little laugh.

I took Kason to daycare this morning and I realized that he is not a little boy anymore. I took him to the lunchroom and he never looked back. He went right to his table, pulled out the chair and sat until they brought his breakfast. I can't believe my little boy is growing up so fast.

As far as work...It hasn't been as bad as I thought it would be. Not really for sure what the rest of the week holds. Like I mentioned earlier my Dad is back in the hospital and is going to have another arteria gram today to see what is going on and to see what could be causing the chest pain. He is still having alot of problems with his blood pressure and so just continue to pray for him and my mom.

I have the honeymoon pictures ready to post in a slide but still haven't worked on the wedding.
