In Memory Of Dakota

I just can't hardly believe that Dakota is going to be put to sleep in the morning. I know she is just a dog but she was apart of mine and Dennis's life while we were married. I will never forget the weekend we found her ad in the Birmingham News Mother's Day weekend 2001. I tried to talk Dennis out of getting her but he was set that we were bring her home and we did. I named her Dakota because I always wanted a little girl by that name and so we agreed. When I would get upset with her I would call her Dakota Ann, why I have no idea I think it just shouldn't good together...lol She has always been a really great dog and to be honest when Dennis started doing alot of traveling with his job she kept me company. We spent many of weekends laying on the couch watching a movie and eating popcorn together. I will also never forget the weekend Dennis brought home Gizmo because Dakota was not a very happy camper about a new puppy invading her space. In fact the first night we had Gizmo, Dakota stepped on Gizmo's leg and we thought for sure she had broken it. I worried that they would never get alone and everyone said it would just take time but now I wonder how Gizmo will be without his big friend. It was so very hard to let her go tonight as I had to say goodbye. I love you sweet baby girl!!!

10th Annual HCOG Fishing Tournament

Last night we spent the night in Guntersville and enjoyed a nice dinner at Wintzells with my parents all to get ready for today's 10th Annual HCOG Fishing Tournament. My sister works the early shift (2am) and gets all the boaters registered. I on the other hand work the day shift and help organize all the door prize and what not. This year they had 149 boats and we served over 700 hot days...WOW that's alot of dogs :) It's alot of fun because the kids get to play and fish and then see all the boats and fisherman come in when it's weigh in time. Kason of course is usually asleep when weigh in times comes and I must say I'm pretty happy because it can get pretty crowded. Even though it's alot of hard work I enjoy helping my parents church every year and seeing everyone. This was our first time to spend the night and I must say Hampton Inn in Guntersville you do the BEST breakfast. There idea of complimentary breakfast includes biscuit, gravy, eggs, hash browns and a whole lot more.

Go Barons

Monday night I had free tickets from work so me and my sister took the kids to the Baron's game. We didn't get to stay for the whole game because it was so late but Kason and Madison seemed to enjoy themselves and I left the ballpark minus a few dollars if you know what I mean.
